THOMB To Drive Formula 1 Car

As a little boy Thom has always dreamt of driving a real Formula 1 car. Nobody ever looks at this dream as a genuine possibility. However thanks to Alpine, this dream no longer has to be a dream.

One of Thom’s goals when he started creating sim racing content was to bridge the current gaps between sim racing and real life racing, and this opportunity will be an amazing way to do that.

This week Thom will be able to experience what it’s like to drive an Alpine Formula 1 Car around Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, home of the F1 Grand Prix in France. The F1 Driving Experience will consist of a full preparation including mental & physical preparation, with practice runs in a Formula 4 Car. If all the checks are completed successfully, Thom heads into the F1 car, operated by a complete Alpine Formula 1 pit crew, to experience this once-in-a-lifetime F1 drive.

This will be one of the first times a sim racer without any previous racing experience is bound to be put in a Formula 1 Car. That’s why Thom is documenting the whole experience to give viewers a unique insight into what it’s like to drive an F1 car as a sim racer and as a rookie to real car racing.
